Senior Software Developer

My work involved front-end, business-logic and back-end development written mainly in C# and SQL. It was an exciting time as in just a few years the IT team grew rapidly from four developers when I first started up to around 40 developers/BAs now, I enjoyed riding that change where I was exposed to lots of technologies such as Telerik, Entity Framework, Angular, Azure service-bus and cloud functions, Application Insights and Flyway.

Part of my work involved maintaining their existing Ligentix web-app adding new features and dealing with issues such as data duplication which allowed me to improve my SQL knowledge. Part of this involved guiding a capable team towards solutions.

For a while I also lead a team of new developers in the development of a bespoke configuration management application. The application that I helped design allowed new clients to be quickly and reliably onboarded onto Ligentia&s applications. This application used the modern web framework Blazor.

In addition I also began and lead a team of new developers using UIPath robotic process automation (RPA). The robots dealt with customs clearance of hundreds of shipping containers per day. As the team grew I designed several of the larger automations and the framework behind their control and reporting.
